Ruisi Chen is a cross-cultural design strategist and a photographer dissecting how media architectures perpetuate health inequities.

Born in China and shaped by studies in Copenhagen, Berlin, and New York, she leverages digital storytelling and design to amplify silenced narratives. Her work spans digital communications at Harvard’s Kempner Institute for the Study of Natural & Artificial Intelligence, audience strategies at VaynerX, and cultural campaigns for arts institutions.

A Parsons School of Design graduate, Ruisi is pursuing Harvard Medical School’s M.S. Media, Medicine, and Health program, where her capstone examines LGBTQ+ sexual health representation in Asian media, forging interventions that center marginalized voices through visual and strategic practice.
